Just a quick recap of the show at the zoo last night.
It was alot of fun. We weren't sure if the weather was going to break but as it got closer the skies cleared. It was really great to meet Sue H and Jan, sorry we missed you Susan. Jan kept a setlist so I am just going to touch on what I remember. I must say this was the biggest and rowdiest Greg show I had ever been to. Todd Snider had us all laughing during his opening set. I am just getting into his music so the only songs I recognized was a story about this band from OR who tried to play the song Louie, Louie and Sideshow Blues. Then Greg and Bo came out for what seemed like a quick but wonderful set. Greg was very quiet last night except for the story about Kelly Joe Phelps and the porkchops while recording Further In which then he dedicated China to him. Greg opened with Lullabye then did Lately. Some other highlights - I Want My Country Back, If I Had Known, Out in the Country (my first time hearing this, loved it), Billy From the Hills, Down at the Mill, Enough, a song with the lyrics "your town now, it's your town now" and he encored with Waiting on You. There may have been more but I don't remember. Ok so that was way longer than intended, ha! Not sure if I will make the winery show tonight, still up in the air about it... Enjoy the day. Robin |
